Supergirl – CBS

Get your playlists ready because the next DC crossover is all about that bass (and treble). The singers were announced so let’s pick the songs!

The Flash and Supergirl are getting musical this March when the Music Meister comes to town! We don’t know who will play the villain just yet but my money is on Rick Cosnett (aka Eddie Thawne), who recently announced that he’d be back on the show this season AND we know he can sing! So while that is still up in the air, let’s talk about what we do know, like who will be singing! As EW reported, we will be seeing (and hearing) songs from Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Grant Gustin (The Flash), Victor Garber (Legends of Tomorrow), Jesse L. Martin (The Flash), Jeremy Jordan, (Winn from Supergirl), Carlos Valdes (Cisco from The Flash) and John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn from Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow). Each is quite the musical powerhouse on their own so this crossover is shaping up to be EPIC!

Each one of these amazing folks has a different singing background and a different style which will make for a good mix of vocals for the crossover event. Let’s take a look at each actor’s previous singing and match them with a fitting song we’d love to see and hear their character sing during the crossover, starting with one of two Glee alums!

Melissa Benoist (Supergirl)

This girl can sing! As a former lead on Glee, we have already been gifted with many amazing songs from Benoist. Her voice fits with basically anything but she killed many notable pop ballads on Glee, like “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus.

Our pick: “The Greatest” by Sia feat. Kendrick Lamar

Notable Lyrics: “Don’t give up, I won’t give up.”
