Couple: Matt Murdock and Claire Temple or Daredevil/Night Nurse. Pretty sure there’s no formal ship name but there should be!
Has it Gone Canon: No. Daredevil season one flirted with the idea quite a bit and set our hearts on fire. But Claire (Rosario Dawson) ultimately decided she couldn’t deal with Matt’s (Charlie Cox) superhero alter-ego. Her inclusion in season two didn’t see any progression on that front but the two definitely deeply care for each other. Claire definitely has a type.

Why We Ship It: 1) Karen/Matt are a crap couple. That is a fact. Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) is a large part of why Nelson and Murdock is no more. She’s the Yoko of the Marvel’s Daredevil universe. 2) Elktra/Matt is toxic. Which leaves only one other option.
In their short time on screen together Claire and Matt have more chemistry than Karen and Matt ever will. Elktra (Élodie Yung) and Matt’s relationship was built on manipulation and while there’s no doubt that she loves him (enough to sacrifice herself for him), it wouldn’t work long term. They like to toy with each other too much. Claire and Matt had an organicness that’s only true of superhero shows. But it’s still organic.
She knew all of Matt’s secrets from his identity to his eyesight before anyone else and when it came down to it she chose not to get involved because it was too risky for her and her job. Except in season two she quits. Obviously not to be Matt’s full-time nurse (even though he could totally use something like that) but actually because it was her own “normal” way of being an everyday kind of superhero. These two could be amazing if Marvel would cut out the nonsense!
