We Ship It: 15 Best Will-They-Or-Won’t-They Couples on TV

Couple: Dr. Delphine Cormier and Cosima Niehaus=Cophine
Has it Gone Canon: Kind of. Delphine (Évelyne Brochu) and Cosima (Tatiana Maslany) have been together on and off since Orphan Black‘s first season. Delphine started as Cosima’s monitor and things got complicated from there as she rose up in the ranks of Dyad. In the season three finale they seemed on the path the finally repairing their relationship when Delphine was shot in the stomach in a parking garage. Season four spent a lot of time mourning the loss while simultaneously teasing the possibility that she was alive. In the season four finale Delphine rescues Cosima, leading to a ton of new revelations. With season five heralding the conclusion of the series, it’ll be nice to see these two finally settle down.

Why We Ship It: There are a lot of lies in the Orphan Black universe and they lead to some really difficult revelations about the clones and their history. There are deep organizations all intertwined and the possibility that the father of Neolution himself is actually still alive. Cosima is a fan favorite. As the show’s resident scientist and pop culture fan she resonates because she’s all of us (and Tatiana could play us all and it would be magical). Delphine is equally beautiful and brilliant and very French. Most importantly she tries to both protect Cosima (and her sisters) and not lie to her. In many cases she actually does tell her the truth but Cosima has a hard time trusting her. It seems like a bad mix but it’s not. They actually have really excellent communication and they’re trying.
Delphine is often seen as a puppy to the fandom and it’s accurate. We just want to see her love and be loved in return. These two are so sweet! With season five heralding the conclusion of the series, it’ll be nice to see these two finally settle down.
