Couple: Luke and Jessica don’t have an official couple name, so let’s just call them Marvel’s Dynamic Duo!
Has it Gone Canon: Yes…and no. Luke and Jessica hit it off straight away when the two meet in Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Even though Luke demonstrated and often showed that he cared about his relationship with Jessica, fans could tell that she was always a little more into the relationship than Luke– as tough as she pretended to be! It wasn’t long before we learned the reason why.

Under mind control, Jessica killed Reva, Luke’s wife. Jessica is extremely sorry, and, come on, Luke, it wasn’t her fault! But Luke decides to move as we see in his own series Luke Cage, where Jessica is referred to as the “rebound chick,” how dare they?! In Luke Cage, Luke and Misty Knight have a one-night-stand, which okay whatever, but he later has something a lot more serious with Claire (who we met in Daredevil). This relationship threw fans off.
Why We Ship It: Luke and Jessica are meant to be! Not only are they together in the comics, but we love their on-screen chemistry and how well they go together. There are still more seasons to go, not to mention, the upcoming mega-crossover The Defenders, so a lot can happen! Let’s just keep our fingers crossed.
