Connor/Oliver – How To Get Away With Murder
Couple: Connor Walsh/Oliver Hampton. Pretty sure there’s no ship name
Has it Gone Canon: For the most part, yeah. Season one spent a lot of time teasing these two. It culminated in a reveal that Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) tested HIV positive – a result that seemed like would possibly end their relationship. Except instead in season two they moved in together only to breakup in season three. Connor (Jack Falahee) tries to repair the relationship but Oliver turns him down.
Why We Ship It: Considering their relationship was essentially based off a one-night-stand. These two couldn’t deny their chemistry and the attraction just kept growing. TV has a serious problem when it comes some gay couples. The relationships are often not given the respect they deserve and are instead fetishized for those who want just want to see two men bang. HTGAWM was progressive in this regard and really made something out of the relationship. There was some controversy regarding the HIV plot line.

All in all these two are meant to be together and perhaps if they stopped using each other and or trying to protect each and instead found a real honest place of communication it could work long term. For now, the best we have is that they’re both alive and it’s certainly a move in the right direction.
