Who is ‘Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot?

Actress Gal Gadot scored the role of a lifetime when she was cast as Diana, aka Wonder Woman, in DC’s ‘Wonder Woman.’ Gadot is gorgeous, and extremely talented, but there is so much for to know about her!

Even though Wonder Woman isn’t Gal Gadot’s first time on the big screen, it’s the first time many viewers learn about the actress. Gadot has been around for several years (about a decade!) and her over all history is very interesting.

After you learn a few facts about the actress, you’ll realize that not only is Gal Gadot awesome, but she’s the perfect Wonder Woman!

Gal Gadot arrived to the big screen as Gisele in Fast & Furious in 2009. The popular franchise kicked off her acting career as she went on to star in  Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and Furious 7. Outside of the franchise, Gadot also stars in Triple 9 and Keeping Up with the Joneses among other projects. And, of course, Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice and Wonder Woman. She’ll also reprise the superhero role in Justice League one and two.

Not just anyone could have pulled off the role of Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman, it takes a strong and determined woman, which is everything Gal Gadot is.

The actress served in the Israeli army for two years (something that is required of all Israelis), where she worked as a fitness instructor. That’s right, Gadot is more than in incredible shape, she’s got combat skills and knowledge of weapons (which also helped her role in the Fast & Furious franchise).

In 2004, Gadot competed in the Miss Universe pageant, representing Israel as Miss Israel. This launched her modeling career which quickly moved up to acting.

When she’s not acting or training, Gadot is a loving mother of two, daughters Alma and Maya, with husband Yaron Versano. Imagine how proud her two girls will be one day! In an interview, Gadot told EW, “I try not to think about being a role model. I try to be the best version of myself period. For myself and for my daughters and for my family, friends. And I do believe that if each and every one of us had a little big of Wonder Woman’s values, the world would be a better place.”

Gal Gadot is an inspiration to us all, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
