Will Dylan O’Brien appear in ‘Teen Wolf’ season 6B?

‘Teen Wolf’ will return for its final 10 episodes later this year, but will star Dylan O’Brien be around for the show’s farewell arc?

Without a doubt the biggest mystery surrounding the final batch of Teen Wolf episodes (aside from when Season 6B will premiere) has been the fate of Dylan O’Brien and his beloved character Stiles.

From the very beginning, Stiles has been an intricate part of the show as has Dylan O’Brien who quickly won fans over for his incredible performance in the now iconic role. Stiles’ friendship with Scott is one of the best parts of the show and let’s not even get started in talking about how big the Stydia ship has been for fans over the course of Teen Wolf‘s six seasons.

Due his injury on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure, O’Brien’s role in the first ten episodes of Teen Wolf‘s farewell season was a bit more limited than we would have liked. However, the way in which the writers wrote the story around his availability helped to account for Stiles’ absence and lessened the sting of not getting to see Stiles in every episode.

As the season progressed, we were treated to more Stiles and then there was that Stydia kiss that sent the fandom into overload – and wanting even more from the duo! Given the way in which the show left off in the 6A finale, fans were more than hopeful that Dylan O’Brien would be back in full capacity come 6B but then the reality began to finally set in. With his star rising and schedule becoming busier and busier with silver screen roles, fans found themselves questioning whether O’Brien would actually appear in the final episodes – a fear that intensified when O’Brien was glaringly missing from the show’s wrap party.

So will Dylan O’Brien appear in the final 10 episodes of Season 6?

Unfortunately, we won’t know the extent of his involvement in the final stretch of episodes until the season resumes. However, we fully expect that O’Brien’s Stiles will appear in at least one episode of the show given the fact that O’Brien was seen on set during the filming of 6B with a fellow fan-favorite.

Due to his filming schedule, it seems likely that Stiles role in the final episodes will be limited but we’re going to remain hopeful that Stiles will pop up in more than one episode of the final arc and we’ll be sure to update this post as soon as additional details are revealed. (So be sure to bookmark this page and check back!)

UPDATE (July 10, 2017): After much speculation regarding O’Brien’s role in 6B, we can now confirm that Stiles will indeed pop up in 6B as confirmed in the official 6B trailer! While it remains to be seen how many episodes he will appear in, fans can at least rest at ease in knowing we haven’t seen the last of Stiles – or these other familiar faces!

Teen Wolf  is expected to return sometime later this year for the final ten episodes of its 20-episode farewell season.
