Anne Hathaway should be charged with a crime of some kind for killing Emily Blunt.

How did Anne Hathaway suddenly become cool and fun-loving?  When did she shed her stick-in-the-mud image?  There may still be haters, but after this performance it’s difficult to understand why.

Tapping into an inner-Miley Cyrus

It’s not just about the slicked hair, bright lip stick, and the tighty-whiteys.  Remember, the “Wrecking Ball” video is Miley at her gross nadir.  It’s her parallel to Britney walking barefoot into a gas station bathroom.  Years later, Miley regrets the decision.  It’s important to realize, however, Anne Hathaway embraces the vulgarity with enough parody and theatrics to avoid getting pulled into the muck.

The grand finale is everything.

Anne Hathaway might be the first person on LSB to incorporate a distinct video prop to seal her victory.  The final, staggering, crowd-hyping crescendo could not have been any better.  Just as she ran in the middle of the stage, she leaped onto the wrecking ball as the lights exploded on, as if the inertia of her swing had a positive correlation to audience volume.  As if there were any doubt about the winner, she “kept up foreign relations” on the back swing.  In effect, Hathaway flipping the bird may as well be the pointer finger, because up until that point, she was number one.
