This Is Us’ Sterling K. Brown did all dads proud at Marvel Universe Live!

As This Is Us‘ Randall Pearson, Sterling K. Brown once taught us that a Thanksgiving dad is a hot dad. As it turns out, so, too, is a Marvel Universe Live Show Dad. What do we mean by that? Allow us to explain.

This past weekend, Sterling K. Brown, who plays Randall Pearson on NBC’s family drama, attended the world premiere of Marvel Universe Live! with his family and his mini-me Lonnie Chavis. (Chavis plays — and crushes — young Randall.) The media snaps photos as they are wont to do, and in one, Chavis and Brown both flexed their biceps.

Readers, see for yourself. If a Thanksgiving Dad is a hot dad, so too does it hold true that a Marvel Universe Live! Dad is indisputably also a hot dad.

Here he is again, with his off-screen family, looking like a real great dad. You may recognize his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe, as Yvette from This Is Us. Yvette is the mother who advises Rebecca at the pool and later hosts play dates for young Randall with her own kids.

Brown will star in the highly-anticipated Black Panther addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All we know about his role so far is that he’ll play N’Jobu, ” a figure from T’Challa’s past.” (T’Challa is the given name of the titular Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman.)

Brown will also, of course, return to screens this fall as Randall Pearson. This Is Us returns Tuesday September 26 and among the many Randall storylines we look forward to, we especially can’t wait to learn more about how he and Beth met and follow the parents on their path to adoption. And, of course, the return of Thanksgiving Dad.
