‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ may be Peter Parker’s sixth time on the big screen, but the movie’s impressive opening weekend proves fans can’t get enough of the hero. But how well did it do against all previous films?

Homecoming kicks off the third franchise of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. This time around, the web-slinging hero is portrayed by British actor Tom Holland. Fans and critics alike have praised the actors performance, many giving him the title of the best Spider-Man ever.

However, while Homecoming is impressive, effortlessly beat its budget, and sits at Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 93% Fresh, it’s not the most successful Spider-Man movie. There is one movie with a higher Fresh score than Homecoming, and another movie who collected more at the box office on opening weekend.

All things considered, though, Tom Holland’s movie can still go on to become the most successful Spidey franchise of all-time. After all, the movie is only on its first week in theaters and the first movie in its franchise.

Please note: The opening weekend info includes domestic wins only from Box Office Mojo, international numbers are not added to these, which could change things. However, the worldwide total does include the movie’s entire earnings.
