If you haven’t yet watched the Season 2 premiere of Insecure, then your jaw probably isn’t on the floor and you might want to brace yourself for spoilers. Despite their contentious breakup, Issa’s continued efforts to win Lawrence back (including that failed party trap) eventually work in her favor. Unexpectedly, Issa and Lawrence sleep together in a whirlwind moment that surprisingly wasn’t one of Issa’s fantasies. This changes everything.
The second episode of Season 2, aptly titled “Hell Questions,” picks up in the aftermath of Issa and Lawrence’s hook up as Issa attempts to work out what it means for their future. Not only do Insecure’s viewers have a ton of questions after the premiere’s shocking twist, but Issa’s left trapped in a torrent of question marks just as she and Freida confront a problematic vice principal. Elsewhere, Lawrence arrives at a crossroads in his current relationship, and Molly starts fighting back after learning she makes less than a male counterpart. There’s no doubt Molly will crush the patriarchy, but the jury’s out on Issa’s future with Lawrence.
