Supernatural gets a nod from Jeopardy

Supernatural couldn’t help but shout at the screen when their show came up as a clue on Jeopardy.

Jeopardy is the show where contestants are given the answers and have to work out the question. There have been plenty of TV shows and movies that have shown up in the past, including Smallville, Hellboy and Bones. However, the SPNFamily found themselves shouting at the screen this week, as the Winchester brothers made an appearance.

The answer was “Sam and Dean Winchester battle inner & outer demons.” It was a beautifully constructed answer, which makes it clear the show is more than just about saving people and hunting things. It’s about the brotherly connection and inner battles that go throughout the seasons.

Of course, the quest was “What is Supernatural?” One of the contestants jumped right in with the answer. While she didn’t jump with excitement, it’s clear without the hesitation that she’s at least watched the show.

This isn’t the first time SPN has appeared on Jeopardy. About six years ago, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki were the clue to the question. The contestant who had picked that clue had no idea, but there was a grin from a contestant next to him, making it clear that she was a fan of the show.

Now the SPNFamily would like to see an episode on Supernatural that includes the brothers watching Jeopardy. Maybe that same question could come up, since the SPN books are part of the canon universe and there are fans of Chuck/God’s books out there.
