Thank goodness for social media. Even though Shadowhunters Season 3 has only filmed two episodes, we already know these 21 things!

Even though it’s only been in production for a few weeks, the internet sleuths are hot on the trail for spoilers and behind-the-scenes information about what’s to come on Shadowhunters Season 3 this winter. The show takes place in New York, but the series films up in Toronto, and as more photos and tweets are posted from set there, we start to get an idea about what’s happening and which characters are filming scenes together.

We’re only two episodes in, but thanks to Twitter, Instagram and information from the panel at San Diego Comic Con, we know quite a few things about Shadowhunters Season 3. Check them out below, and let us know in the comments if we’ve missed anything!

21 things we already know about Shadowhunters Season 3:

More from Teen Dramas

1) Shadowhunters Season 3A will be an adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s City of Fallen Angels.

2) Alisha Wainwright was promoted to a series regular, which means we get to see a whole lot more of Maia this season (and it’s the best news ever)!

3) Alberto Rosende has been spotted filming on location in Toronto, so it appears as though Simon will be reunited with everyone early on in Season 3. In the Season 2 finale, we were nervous about Simon’s secret deal with the Seelie Queen, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be confined to the Seelie Realm for too long.

4) Season 3 will introduce Jordan, but he will not make an appearance in the first few episodes (casting is still in progress).

5) There’s going to be a brand new New York Police Department set, which we assume means we’ll get to see Luke and Ollie at the NYPD station.

6) Both Maryse and Meliorn will be back on your screen before the end of the second episode!

7) Luke will have a very important role to play this season, and he has confirmed Institute scenes in the premiere with Clary, Jace, Alec and Izzy. It looks like he also has at least one scene with Maryse in Episode 2, and we’re told that his story arc in Episode 3 will be especially emotional.

8) Continuing with the Luke spoilers, he’ll also have a new love interest in Shadowhunters Season 3, but it’s unclear when that arc will be introduced (or if it has anything to do with the previous photo).

9) We’ll seen more of Ollie and Sam’s relationship and definitely follow the aftermath of Ollie learning about werewolves.

10) There’s at least one scene with Magnus and Raphael in Magnus’ loft in the premiere episode (and hopefully more to come)!

11) Clary is going to be back in her role as an artist, and she’ll still have the ability to create portals.

12) There are more confirmed Simon and Izzy scenes on the way!

13) Double-date alert! We’ve learned from the show’s EP that there was a mundane date in Clary and Jace’s future, but rumor has it that it’s a double-date with Clary, Jace, Simon and Maia. Awkward much?

14) Magnus has expanded his loft to include a brand new study. We’re imagining shelves upon shelves of incredible books from the past few centuries with potions ingredients mixed in of course.

15) Sandalwood shampoo is apparently something very important in the Malec relationship (and Magnus is going to have a mohawk…).

16) Lilith is the “big bad” of Shadowhunters Season 3, and though we saw her come to life in the Season 2 finale, it’s possible that we will see her up-close in the Season 3 premiere (but definitely by Episode 2)!

17) Word on the street is that Lilith will be played by Arrow’s Anna Hopkins, and judging by the amount of Shadowhunters fans who followed her on Twitter in the past week, we wouldn’t be surprised if this rumor were true.

18) If Lilith was Jonathan/Sebastian’s mother in Edom, it also means we haven’t seen the last of him. However, it doesn’t look like Will Tudor has made it back to Toronto (at least in time to film Episode 3). So this begs the question: will we see Jonathan (wearing Sebastian’s face) later in Season 3, or will the character be portrayed by someone new (if we see him at all)?

19) Because we’re spending more time with Lilith, we will learn about the Church of Talto. What’s the Church of Talto you ask? It’s the demon worshipping cult in New York mainly made up of women Lilith manipulated into helping her have a child. Lilith sounds super fun already.

20) Catarina will be back for Shadowhunters Season 3 and her warlock mark (blue skin) will be shown. Since we know Madzie will be back as well, it’s likely that they will appear together again.

21) Season 3 will start just two and half hours after the end of Season 2. Does this mean Season 3 starts in the middle of the night? Could we potentially find Malec back at Magnus’ apartment after they left the Hunter’s Moon party?! (And hungover Luke?)

Bonus: 22) Somewhere in Season 3, vodka and gin will get the best of Alec Lightwood. Is there a rune to cure hangovers? #DrunkAlec
