Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok rocked the box office again, but, with the release of Justice League this weekend, did it do so for the finale time?
More from Box Office

- Meg 2: What happened to Suyin? (Why isn’t she in the movie?)

Ragnarok stayed put at number one for a second week, and climbed to the number 12 among all Marvel Cinematic Universe entries, but very close to taking down Doctor Strange and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In total, the third chapter of Thor has $650 million. But will comic fans now focus all of their attention on Wonder Woman’s return in Justice League?
Daddy’s Home 2, starring Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, John Cena, and John Lithgow, follows Thor in second place with a cool $30 million. With a budget of $69 million, the sequel will be making a profit in a few weeks, but it may not collect more than the first — $150 million.
In third is Kenneth Branagh’s Murder On The Orient Expess with $28.2 million. The thriller performed better overseas, $57.2 million, for a grand total of $85.4 million so far. The movie also stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Penelope Cruz, and more. And A Bad Moms Christmas gathered up another $11.5 million, nearly doubling its reported budget of $28 million.
