Thanksgiving is almost here, meaning a few days off work so what better way to spend it than binge-watching Netflix’s Master of None?

Thanksgiving is almost here and it means a few things: family, food and free time. Then again, those who have days off. With some extra days off, what better way to spend your Thanksgiving break than to binge-watch something? So many shows, so little time but there’s one show you shouldn’t miss out on this year.

If you’ve already watched it, then watch it again. If you haven’t, then it’s time to binge-watch Netflix’s Master of None. Created by Aziz Ansari, the series follows Dev on his journey to find himself even though he’s 30-years old. The series has received much critical acclaim but forget about that for now.

Let’s look at some of the reason why it’s perfect to binge-watch this Thanksgiving. The biggest selling point is it’s on Netflix. If you want to sit and watch an entire season in one day, you can do that. It’s also relatively easy to stop and start so you’ll never miss anything if you have to cook, clean or fall asleep.

Besides the convenience of Netflix, another selling point is the premise of the show. Even though Dev’s 30, he’s still trying to figure it all out. It’s something a lot of people can relate to even if they’re a little bit older. Seeing Dev’s successes and failures resonated with me when I first watched the show.

The show doesn’t just follow Dev’s life or career, though. The first episode of the series opens up about the consequences of hooking up. Other episodes have dealt with modern dating, dealing with grief, struggling with your sexuality, sexual assault and deciding not to have kids.

The episodes aren’t always as heavy as the ones mentioned above, though. There’s a lot of episodes based on friendship, online dating, first dates and having fun. It’s a great dose of fun to break up the reality of the show and make it even more realistic.

If that isn’t enough to sell you on a binge, maybe the cast will. Aziz Ansari plays Dev and he’s also been on Parks and Rec, Bob’s Burgers and as a comedian. Two of his best friends are played by Eric Wareheim of Tim and Eric fame and Lena Waithe who has previously written for Bones and Master of None.

The show has also featured a ton of recognizable and well-known actors as guest stars. Here’s a just a few: Claire Danes, Angel Bassett, H. Jon Benjamin, Raven-Symone, John Legend and Danielle Brooks. That’s a pretty star-studded list and I’m sure you recognize at least a name or two.
