Iron Fist season 2 adds Alice Eve in an unspecified role

Alice Eve has joined the cast of Marvel’s Iron Fist. Is this a step in the right direction?

After changing the face of blockbuster movies with 2008’s Iron Man, Marvel took its first steps into the TV scenario with 2015’s Daredevil. Following that, Marvel went onto succeed on the small screen with Daredevil Season 2, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, only to hit its first speed bump with Iron Fist. However, after redeeming Danny Rand in The Defenders, Alice Eve’s inclusion in Iron Fist Season 2 might be another step in the right direction.
Eve has appeared in numerous movies like Misconduct, Criminal, She’s Out of My League and Before We Go. Her name is also synonymous to franchise movies like Men in Black 3 and as Carol Marcus in Star Trek: Into Darkness. Additionally, as Eve has flourished in shows like Black Mirror and Entourage, Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb didn’t shy away from expressing his delight about the actress’ involvement in Iron Fist Season 2.

Eve will be joining the returning cast of Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup, Sacha Dhawan and Simone Missick. Eve is not the only new addition as Sleepy Hollow‘s Raven Metzner will be replacing Scott Buck as the show-runner for Iron Fist Season 2.
What will be Alice Eve’s role in Iron Fist Season 2?

In comparison to the rest of Marvel-Netflix’s shows, we can’t deny that Iron Fist Season 1 wasn’t an easy watch. However, the show successfully managed to introduce Danny Rand and setup Davos and Joy Meachum as potential villains for Season 2. As That Hashtag Show has revealed that Lady Gorgon will be joining Iron Fist’s rogue’s gallery, it’s highly likely that Alice Eve will be taking on that role.
Lady Gorgon was originally introduced in Punisher: War Journal, where Jigsaw had hired her to put an end to Frank Castle. Although Eve’s role is currently under the wraps, if this story-line is adopted into the show, fans might witness a three-way battle between The Punisher, Iron Fist and Lady Gorgon. Additionally, this will also mark the first meetup between Frank Castle and Danny Rand.
