With the holiday season upon us once more, Hallmark Channel is the go-to destination for original holiday movies that the whole family can enjoy! This year, Hallmark Channel’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming event welcomes the world premiere of 21(!) original romantic comedies featuring some of television‘s biggest stars and we here at Hidden Remote will be cracking out the cocoa and cookies every weekend to bring you the scoop on each of this year’s films!
Our Countdown to Christmas continues this Monday night in When Calls the Heart: The Christmas Wishing Tree, a new holiday film which transports viewers to Hope Valley where Christmas is quickly approaching and joyous celebrations have the town buzzing.
As we journey back to Hope Valley, Christmas is fast approaching and the town is thrilled with the arrival of the Wishing Tree which looks to give the townspeople the chance to place their wishes on its branches in hopes that they’ll come true. Among the many people anxious to place a wish up on the tree is Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) who wants nothing more than for Jack (Daniel Lissing) to come home for the holidays. However, the Wishing Tree is far from the only holiday event that has the town buzzing.

Hoping to spread some holiday cheer, Abigail (Lori Loughlin) decides to oversee a Christmas Parade led by Bill’s (Jack Wagner) passionate band. Meanwhile, Cody (Carter Ryan Evancic) looks to make his first Christmas with Abigail and his new family special.
Elsewere, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) find themselves deviling new traditions which lead them to realize how important memories are while the town’s disgraced former mayor, Henry Gowen (Martin Cummins), receives a new chance at redemption.
