Big Brother 19 ended in September with Josh Martinez winning the $500,000 prize. The BB19 cast included just one returning houseguest, as Paul Abrahamian made his presence known almost immediately. Paul steered his way to the final two, but the BB19 jury sided with Josh.

While Josh Martinez is the Big Brother 19 winner, it may be more apt to state that Paul Abrahamian was the Big Brother 19 loser. Most of the BB19 jury was voting against Paul, rather than giving true support to Josh.

The Big Brother 19 showmances

The summer 2017 season was packed with Big Brother showmances. Those three main showmances included Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson, Raven Walton and Matt Clines, and Mark Jansen and Elena Davies. Jessica was evicted right before the BB19 jury and then Cody became the first member of the jury. Then Elena and Mark were evicted in consecutive ceremonies. Matt was next, with Raven going out two evictions later.

Despite a trio of Big Brother 19 showmances that could have continued working together, they fought and ended up getting picked off by an alliance of Paul Abrahamian, Christmas Abbott, and Josh Martinez. Cody found a lot of support from fans, though, and ended up getting selected as America’s Favorite Houseguest.

Celebrity Big Brother begins soon

CBS and the production team are going to try something different this winter. Following the rating success of Big Brother 19, a cast of celebrities will enter the house in February. The Celebrity Big Brother schedule begins on February 7. The CBS site for the show is already trying to create buzz for it, despite no official cast announcements yet.

For Big Brother fans who want to catch up with Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf, they will be co-starring in the new season of The Amazing Race in January.
