Will The Gifted be airing a new episode tonight on Fox?

The Gifted only just returned last Monday night but has Fox decided to bench its breakout hit of the season already or will a new episode be airing this evening?

Last Monday,fans of Fox’s breakout superhero drama The Gifted settled in on their couches for yet another action-packed hour of television which amped up the action and set up for the final two hours of the season. Having only just returned from its winter premiere, one would assume they’d be able to settle in for a night with their favorite new series this week as well but unfortunately that won’t be the case.
Rather than air a new episode of The Gifted this evening, Fox will be airing an encore presentation of an already aired episode. As such, Season 1 will wrap its run with two back-to-back new episodes one week from tonight as the freshman season of Fox’s Marvel drama comes to a close.

Given the way in which the season has progressed, one can only imagine what’s to come from the show’s season finale and, thankfully, fans can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that The Gifted will be coming back for another season this fall as Fox has already handed out a second season renewal to the show.
