Season 3 of iZombie came to a climatic end. The world learned about the true existence of zombies, a mass breakout of the zombie virus occurred, Ravi’s fate is unknown after Liv scratched him, and Major returned to the life of as Graves zombie soldier. Since then, we have all been desperately waiting for the show to return and see what the outcome of all this is.

The CW has officially announced the return date, and with that, we can look forward to what is coming and what you can look forward to. Here are the 4 things to look forward to in iZombie season 4.

1: How the world reacts

The world finally learned the truth. Zombies are real and the world will never be the same again. How the world will react with this knowledge will be a major plot point for season 4. After all, the show has operated for the past three seasons with the premises of keeping the Zombie knowledge secret from the world, so already it has flipped itself on its very own head.

Another major factor is how the world found out. Many of the now ‘newly created zombies’ were created without their knowledge. Chase Graves had his very own Fillmore Graves employees inject members of the public with the zombie virus. Everyone was under the impression that they were getting the flu vaccines and learned the truth when Liv and Johnny Frost reported it on the news, something Graves did not predict.

Season 4 is going to pick up several months after this happened, did Graves managed to regain control of the situation, or have things gotten worse?

2: Ravi, human or zombie?

Ravi decided to let Liv scratch him in the season finale in order to find out if the zombie vaccine had worked or not. It was a very emotional moment for everyone and it’s something we all want to know the outcome of.

The good news is that we will learn if Ravi is now part of ‘Team Z’ or not in the very first episode. Rob Thomas spoke to TVGuide after the season 3 finale and when asked about the fate of Ravi he explained that we would find out almost immediately.

3: Liv and her brains

No one is going to disagree that the best thing about iZombie is the personalities Liv takes on after eating a fresh brain. We have seen many different and hilarious personalities over the past three seasons. We have had stripper brain, superhero brain, grumpy old man brain and many other great ones.

Which brains Liv will eat and what personality she will adapt in season 4 is definitely something to look forward to and we already have an idea at some of those personalities. TVLine shared an exclusive image showing Liv under the influence of a ‘Snobby Dowager Brain’ and Rose McIver, the actress who plays Liv, also shared a spoiler that she will be on ‘Ren Faire Brain’, which she described as a ‘knight-in-shining-armour type character’.

4: A Musical number

This is no way confirmed, but, it has been teased that some of the cast would like to do a musical number. Rose McIver showed off her musical talent in the second season and David Anders has made it known that he has been pushing hard for such an episode to happen.

But not everyone is up for it with some of the cast making it known that they are not keen on doing such a thing. This was all discussed before season 4 had even been confirmed and now that it is a go hopefully a musical number will be as well.
