Do you know what makes a real hero?

More from Movies

That’s the question being asked in the opening of the Teen Titans GO! To the Movies trailer and the answer, along with the remaining one minute and thirteen seconds of footage, makes you want this movie to come out in theaters today, as in right now.

The animated Cartoon Network show has been watched and love for years, from both adults and kids alike, and getting its own movie feels right. After all, everyone is getting their own. Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Ant-Man, IronMan, the list goes on and on. Hell, we just found out Black Widow is getting her very own movie yesterday now.

So why can’t the Teen Titans have one as well?

And the best thing about this upcoming animation is that they are clearly happy to poke fun at all the superhero movies out there. Remember how Aquaman was considered the joke for superhero’s before Jason Mamoa came along? Well, the Teen Titans are happily reminding us of what he once was.

It goes even further to poke fun at how we are all getting a bit fed up with superhero movie after superhero movie being released right now. As they say in the trailer:

"‘It’s the superhero movie to end all superhero movies’"

The best thing about this, however, is that you can’t tell who it has been created for. The kids, or the big kids.

What will Teen Titans GO! To the movies be about?

In short, the Titans are heading to Hollywood in search of stardom, every other superhero seems to be getting it so they think they can too, when they come up against an evil villain with the plan for world domination.

Voice work is to be done by Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven, Hynden Walch as Starfire and Greg Cipes as Beast Boy. It will also feature the voices of Will Arnett and Kristen Bell.
