Ron Weasley isn’t the only student wizard who’s struggling to learn new spells. In this new Super Bowl commercial for Universal Studios, Peyton Manning tosses on a Gryffindor scarf and sets out to score major points at the Universal Studios parks.
With the official title of “vacation quarterback,” Manning is “coaching families to take their vacation to the next level” (except he might not be the most qualified person for the job). An extended version of the commercial will air during the NBC pre-game show, and a thirty-second version of Manning’s theme park shenanigans will air during the Super Bowl game itself.
In the video, the two-time Super Bowl champion joins a family on their vacation to ensure they really do kick the fun up a notch. He screams on the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Coaster from the front row, and he flees from a dinosaur at Jurassic Park’s Raptor Experience (though he does credit the Raptor for showing his best “game face”).
Despite his fashionable Gryffindor scarf, Manning just can’t seem to master the art of casting spells in Hogsmeade, but he’s determined to persevere. Just don’t count on him being able summon any objects in the near future — that “accio” spell would have come in handy after his churro was intercepted!
