General Hospital spoilers: Anna is Heinrik’s mother and lied to Faison for decades

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) dropped a major bombshell on Thursday, February 1, and on Friday’s cliffhanger show, fans should learn the rest. Anna told Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) that he died never knowing her secret. The latest GH spoilers now make it apparent that Heinrik Faison, aka Peter August (Wes Ramsey), is the son of Anna and Faison.

GH spoilers from late last week saw Anna share with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that Faison’s son Heinrik was born to a random woman who then passed away. Anna offered only enough details to facilitate the pursuit of the missing “Traitor” but without giving away her biological role in the plot.

Thursday’s General Hospital episode wrapped with Anna mocking the corpse of her ex-lover, telling him that she beat him and he died never knowing the truth. On Friday’s cliffhanger, it will unfold that Heinrik is the son that Anna had in secret, back when she loved Faison, but after she found out that he was a monster and left him.

Anna gave away Robin, too

For those GH fans that might question if Anna is capable of giving away a child, remember she’s done it before. Anna handed over Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) to be raised by someone else for years before the super-spy returned to reclaim her offspring. It seems now that Anna is a chronic abandoner and Peter never knew his mom.

What’s also evident from recent General Hospital spoilers is that Anna is desperate to protect Peter until she can ascertain whether he’s a psycho like his father. That’s why Anna kept inserting herself into Sonny and Jason’s investigation and insisted on being on-hand at the park when the appointment was set to meet Heinrik.

Peter sticking around Port Charles

General Hospital viewers now know that Peter is Heinrik and he is, like Faison said, hiding in plain sight in Port Charles. Others won’t find out his identity for some time, according to insight from the ABC soap’s writers. The revelation of Peter as Anna’s son will rock not only Port Charles, but Peter since he grew up without his mother.

Given the leaks and GH spoilers from the writers, viewers should not expect Peter to be revealed for some time, perhaps not even until May sweeps. Wes Ramsey may stick around as a permanent cast member given his character’s unknown history. Remember that Peter kept Jason safe and hidden from Faison, even if it was against his will, so he’s not all bad.

Is Peter a villain or a hero?

No doubt Anna wants an answer to this question as much as GH fans. So far, the worst thing Peter has done is lie about his true identity and keep Jason drugged and stashed at the secret clinic. We’ve not seen him kill anyone and he was, in fact, protecting Jason from Faison’s death order. Jason might not be too happy about his captivity, but it’s better than certain death.

If Anna discovers her son is a killer, she might put him down, as we’ve seen her do with other sinners in the past. There’s no indication that Heinrik the Traitor is a bad guy, despite his terrible paternal DNA. General Hospital spoilers also revealed this week that Peter has the flash drive with Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories so eventually, Heinrik must answer to the twins.
