Over the weekend, Universal Pictures hosted a preview day for their Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom inspired toy fair. At the event, Mattel and Lego revealed numerous toys tied to the upcoming film. Among them stood the typical dinosaurs, the T-rex, Dilophosaurus, Stegosaurus, and the Triceratops. But what really stood out were the new additions.

While most fans who viewed the trailer already knew that the Baryonyx and Carnotaurus would be making their debut, they probably didn’t know about the Indoraptor. It’s the latest and most interesting dinosaur to join the roster.

Speculation and rumors arose quite some time ago but no one could definitively confirm the appearance of said dinosaur. Now, however, it looks like Dr. Wu’s newest hybrid is indeed in the film. The Lego toy set depicting a featured scene from the movie being the biggest evidence of this. Check out the promotional video below to see why.

In the promotional video, a Lego set shows off a house filled with miniatures of all the title characters in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Joining them on the toy house’s roof is Owen’s (Chris Pratt) pal, Blue. And opposite Blue is a black raptor-esque dinosaur. The label shown on a Mattel version confirms that it’s the Indoraptor.

What this means for the plot of Fallen Kingdom is that Dr. Henry Wu is still creating more genetically-engineered monsters. For whom is still to be determined, but whoever commissioned them to be made will probably want more. I mean, if they’ve gone ahead with another hybrid after the last fiasco, their goal is likely to use them for weapons. Therefore, more is better.

In any case, the Indoraptor’s appearance means Owen, Claire, and their new friends are going to have an all new threat to deal with. Let’s just hope Blue and the mercenaries joining them can neutralize it before too many people die.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens in theaters on June 22, 2018.
