Spoiler alert!
Reality Steve reported early Saturday that footage from The Bachelor Season 22 finale is available on the streaming service. The footage was apparently part of a tourism video for Peru, where the final Rose Ceremony took place. And it clearly shows Luyendyk proposing to Becca Kufrin, and her accepting the ring.
Hulu will likely take down the footage once they discover the mistake (if it hasn’t already). But at least one fan has already shared a screenshot of the proposal on Twitter.
But while Luyendyk and Kufrin get engaged in The Bachelor Season 22 finale, spoilers confirm that they are no longer together. Reality Steve first reported back in January that Luyendyk has since dumped Kufrin and started dating his runner-up, Lauren Burnham. That has since been confirmed by other sources.
"“He had second thoughts,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He realized who he really wanted to be with and really loved. He just couldn’t stop thinking about the other woman.”"
That is apparently why Caroline Lunny called out Luyendyk during last week’s “Women Tell All” special. And Luyendyk knows she won’t be the only one upset once The Bachelor Season 22 finale airs. But he is ready for any criticism that comes his way.
"“I know people are going to be hard on [me],” he told People. “I made a mistake. And I’m prepared for the backlash. But all I can say is I had to follow my heart.”"
And he may have followed his heart all the way to another proposal. Reality Steve reported last week that there was a romantic setup at the Monarch Bay Resort in Dana Point, California on February 24. A film crew was present, and those nearby were told that a “Bachelor proposal was happening.”
Steve thus thinks that Luyendyk proposed to Burhnam that night, though that has not been confirmed. But even if Luyendyk and Burnham are now engaged, we doubt they will last.
