MCU’s Thor: Ragnarok is a movie Marvel fans will have in their Blu-ray/DVD collection no matter what, but on a scale of Lord of Thunder to God of Thunder, how awesome is it?

Thor: Ragnarok is available on 4k, Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow, March 6, and thanks to our advanced copy, we were able to watch (and rewatch) the film along with all the bonus features and content! Is it worth your money this coming Tuesday?
The latest chapter in the Thor franchise is what fans have been waiting to see the Thor we’ve deserved all along and should what he should have been from the beginning — vibrant, witty, and lots of fun! Director Taika Waititi has completely transformed Thor. The hero, who was previously the Avenger we cared least about, to be brutally honest, is now watchable, enjoyable, and remembered. Because, while we’re being honest, do you even recall the events in Thor: The Dark World? Probably not, but you own the movie anyway as a loyal Marvel fan. Well, Thor: Ragnarok is a movie you’ll be happy and proud to own!
Here’s our take, along with a ranking of our favorite extra features!
As cool as it is to have Thor: Ragnarok Blu-ray/DVD join our collection, what else do we have to gain? I’m happy to report that the special features and bonus content is as charming and colorful as the movie itself!
Ranking the bonus features…
#12 Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years – The Evolution of Heroes
#11 Finding Korg
#10 Sakaar: On the Edge of the Known and Unknown
#9 Director’s Introduction
#8 Journey into Mystery
#7 Getting in Touch with Your Inner Thor

#2 Unstoppable Women Hela & Valkyrie
#1 Directors Commentary
Thor: Ragnarok completely changed my view on Blu-ray features. Gag reels and deleted scenes are what I look forward to the most when I purchase discs, it’s the main reason I buy these (after the desire of wanting to own the film), while the Director’s Commentary is usually skipped or saved for later. But this has got to be the best one I’ve ever watched! Taika Waititi walks viewers through his thought process of creating this film. What sets this feature apart from others like it is that Waititi doesn’t take himself too seriously and has fun with it. You’ll get to see where the humor in Ragnarok comes from and what a genius Waititi is.

I also really enjoyed watching and learn all about the motion-capture suit used for Korg and what went into creating this hilarious, lovable character who Waititi gave life to.
The gag reels are usually always my favorite bonus feature in Blu-ray discs, but not this time. It’s not that I didn’t love it, I do, but it’s awfully short. Thor: Ragnarok is basically a comedy, so I was expecting a longer reel packed with bloopers.
Darryl believes he’s so unfortunate for finding himself stuck with these characters, but we all envy him and would take his spot in an instant! Who wouldn’t love Thor, or the Grandmaster even, to crash their place? This short is only ranked fifth because we’ve seen it online already ahead of the movie’s disc release.
