Gotham finally returned after several months off for the winter – and it came back with a bang.
To recap what happened: Ivy returned, now played by Peyton List, Nygma’s alter ego has manifested again and put a hit out on Lee Thompkins, Butch regained his memory, Alfred ran into a blazing building and then was framed for a woman’s murder, and Harvey Bullock still wants nothing to do with Jim Gordon.
The Gotham writers managed to fit that into an hour episode, so you know they have much more planned for this week’s show.
This week, we head back to Arkham Asylum where Jerome and Penguin are being held. They have been locked up together and have had time to become friendly. Where this friendship will lead is anyone’s guess, but it’s probably going to be one of the best rides of the second half of the season.

Ivy is also getting a bigger role. She’s now morphed twice in the matter of two seasons from a young child to a full-grown woman. Her powers are much closer to peak form, being able to control plant life and using it kill its hosts.
Gotham has been very good this season, and it looks as though there is another great episode in store for Season 4, Episode 12.
Here is the synopsis for ‘A Dark Knight: A Beautiful Darkness,’ according to Fox.’
"Ivy tracks a secret project on which Wayne Enterprises is working and begins to target anyone that can give her information. Meanwhile, Jerome becomes obsessed with Penguin in Arkham. Also, Gordon begins to second guess his deal with Sofia and an unsettling dream sequence shakes up Bruce."
