Will & Grace season 9, episode 15 preview: Grace’s family honors Debbie Reynolds

When Will & Grace returned for its revival last fall, there were more than a few burning questions awaiting its arrival. Is Karen still rich? Will that polarizing flash forward remain canon? How will the series honor the legacy of Debbie Reynolds? Two episodes shy of the season finale, the series answered most of our questions, but it’s finally getting around to devoting an episode to Grace’s late mother, who was played by the inimitable Debbie Reynolds.
In fact, Will & Grace brings back the entire Adler clan for a celebration of Bobbi’s birthday. Will and Grace attend the sure-to-be loud and contentious family affair as Robert Klein and Sara Rue return as Grace’s father Martin and sister Joyce. Taking over the role of Grace’s sister Janet from Geena Davis, the hilarious Mary McCormack joins the cast. Without a doubt, getting the Adlers back together will drum up all of the hilarious drama Grace doesn’t want anything to do with.

Elsewhere in the latest episode, Jack finds his heart broken after he breaks things off with his short-lived boyfriend Drew. However, his wounds will surely be soothed by the dirt he digs up on Karen’s marriage — or it’ll just further his loss in his faith in love. Alec Bladwin returns to the series as Malcolm Widmark, the government official who once helped Stan (Karen’s husband) fake his death. Sparks appear to be flying between him and Karen once again!
Is there something more to the story with Karen’s marriage to Stan, or is she just being her problematic self and having an affair with Malcolm? Can Jack recover from the blows of his breakup? How will the series honor the life of Bobbi Adler as well as Debbie Reynolds’ legacy? Be sure to catch the newest episode this Thursday to find out and see how the shenanigans unfold!
