Rachel Bloom guest starring on iZombie Season 4
iZombie is getting a very special CW guest star in a couple of weeks, as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s Rachel Bloom steps in for an episode.
The CW really is a family. An actor on one show is very likely to show up on another. The Vampire Diaries/The Originals and Supernatural have shared a few actors (such as Sebastian Roche and Candice King) and now iZombie and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will share an actor. This isn’t just any actor, though. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s leading lady, Rachel Bloom, is taking a shot at the zombie world.
Unfortunately, we won’t see her as a zombie, by the sounds of the synopsis. She will play the role of a pretentious theater actor, who is murdered. It sounds like this will be the brain Liv eats to help Clive solve the case of the week. The murder victim doesn’t usually get a lot of screen time in the episodes, but there’s hope that this is a little different for such a major CW guest star.

Another theory is that she’s actually a zombie in disguise. Could Liv and Clive have to work their first dead zombie case? That’s just a theory to throw out there, as it’s still something that needs to happen now that zombies are out there in Seattle.

She’s likely human and that will mean Liv takes on her personality. Will we get a musical Liv in the episode? There have been numerous mentions of musical episodes lately, but not all the cast are happy with it. Rose McIver did confirm that she’d rap in one of the episodes and this could be that episode.
Bloom will guest star in iZombie Season 4, Episode 6. “My Really Fair Lady” will air on April 9.
Here’s the synopsis for the episode.
"Liv (Rose McIver) and Clive (Malcolm) investigate the murder of a pretentious theater actor (guest star Rachel Bloom “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). Meanwhile, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) makes a huge sacrifice for Peyton (Aly Michalka). Lastly, Blaine (David Anders) makes a startling discovery."
You’ll notice that in this episode, Ravi is going to make a huge sacrifice for Peyton. What exactly does this mean? Will he find out he needs to take another version of the vaccine and give it to her? Could he finally have a cure but Peyton needs it more than him? Maybe he’ll find a way to get her out of the city, so she can protect herself elsewhere.
