Another movie weekend is in the books! Which movie did you catch in theaters this Easter weekend? The box office report is in.

Due to the holiday weekend, there wasn’t much activity going on in movie theaters. Only two films premiered — Ready Player One and Tyler Perry’s Acrimony. Predictably, Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One won the box office, and by far! This is significant for more than one reason. The adventure film debuted in theaters Thursday, March 29, and what it made that month is not included in the box office weekend total, yet it still came out on top.

By how much did Ready Player One win? Which other movies made it into the top 10 at the box office? We have the results!

Ready Player One collected approximately $41.2 million over the Easter holiday weekend (March 30 – April 1). At the moment, the movie stands with $181.2 million worldwide, which is over their reported $175 million budget. It’s not Steven Spielberg’s best, but not bad at all for the first weekend. At this rate, the movie will make a decent profit.
