The Noble Houses of Westeros crate

First of all the T because we all want to know what the T or other wearable item is like first. Showcasing the sigils of House Stark, Lannister and Targaryen, it’s a very simple design that leaves no doubt it is linked to Game of Thrones.

Comfort wise, its made of a very nice material that is easy to wear and does not cling to your skin as if you tried to wrap yourself in clingfilm. Overall it is a great shirt that is super comfortable, the design might be everyone’s cup of tea but I like it.

Over to House Lannister and we have Jamie’s Golden Hand silicone oven glove. I’m not sure if I will use it as an oven glove. It’s not that I think it would not work but it’s more I wouldn’t want to ruin it. It would be pretty handy for cosplaying Jamie though if you are heading to a con anytime soon.

Next up, House Targaryen and in keeping with the house of fire and blood is a reusable dragon sigil hand warmer. Snap the metal disc inside and feel the heat flow instantly. Once it has cooled, follow the instructions and you can reset it to use over and over again.

Depending on where you live will depend if this is useful or not. I’m up in Canada so it’s winter for about nine months of the year so its already getting some good use.

House Stark had two items. One is simply amazing and the other is meh but practical. A ghost vinyl figure built by Culture Fly themselves is, in my opinion, the crown jewel of the crate. Going from jaw-dropping amazing to meh, we have “the north remembers” notepad. Compared to everything else included it is probably my least favorite item but notepads are handy so I can’t complain about having something practical.

And from the houses, we all know but don’t really care that much about is, the House Baratheon drinking horn, House Greyjoy enamel pin and House Tyrell ceramic planter.

I won’t be drinking out of the horn anytime soon. Unless I’m heading to a con I probably never will but it comes with a nice little stand so you can display it proudly.

The pin is actually very nice and I can’t fault the detail but its Greyjoy. So I instantly don’t like it. It is, however, one of a collectable of four. What I am not sure is if I can get the other three elsewhere or will the others be released as Culture Fly release the next quarterly box. We shall see.

The planter I couldn’t help but laugh at because of course the Tyrell’s would be the ones with the planter. If you are into gardening then you are going to like this. For me I don’t, I’m 11 floors up, I have no garden. It will, however, be used for storing pencils and pens or maybe utensils in the kitchen. I haven’t decided yet.

Finally, we have an item that is not associated with one house but all of them. A sigil stamp set with an inkpad. You can sign your own letters, birthday cards, invitations or whatever with your favorite sigil. I really like this item. It is totally impractical to me but it’s unique and made me admire it for several minutes before checking out the rest of the crate.

Overal it’s a great crate. I was hugely impressed with the amount and range of items and they certainly stuck with the noble houses of Westeros theme by including one item from each house.
