Rampage quietly beats A Quiet Place at the box office
By Sandy C.
The box office has a new champ, but only by a whisper!
Which movie did you catch in theaters this weekend? Rampage and Truth or Dare are the new additions to the box office, but only one of the two was loud enough to take down last week’s champ, A Quiet Place. However, Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage didn’t win by too much, further proving what a huge success John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place is!
Rampage took the top spot with $34.5 million. At the time of this feature, the movie has a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is great for a video game movie. Worldwide, Rampage‘s total is $148.6 million. Made with a reported budget of an estimated $120 million, Rampage has already made some profit on its first weekend out.
Following close and quietly behind after the Rock is A Quiet Place, with approximately $32.6 million, an amazing sum! In total, domestically and overseas, A Quiet Place sits with an impressive $151.3 million! The horror thriller took just $17 million to put together, so we’re sure everyone is loving the profits.
