John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have set a new bar for romantic chemistry in A Quiet Place. And it’s likely their #RelationshipGoals marriage has something to do with it.

(Minor spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen the movie.)

When it comes to movie couples, a lot of times, the chemistry works — but sometimes, it just doesn’t. No matter how experienced actors are, there are always certain personality factors that affect how they interact together on screen. The simple fact is if actors don’t have any chemistry in real life, it’s hard to fake that for a movie. But John Krasinski and Emily Blunt didn’t need to fake a thing.

They have been married since 2010, and honestly, they represent everything good about what a marriage should look like. So if you don’t believe in love anymore, they just might be the ones to convince you otherwise.

More from Movies

This transformed into an acting performance in their recently released thriller, A Quiet Place, that left us all the more in awe of their love for one another — a real, genuine love that made the movie 100% more believable.

Their fireworks for one another in the movie (and in real life) make it easy for viewers to become lost in the story. When they dance together with headphones? That’s true love — nothing fake about it. And when they were holding their newborn child in the movie — nothing fake there either, which brings up another point.

Their parenting also came off as completely realistic since they have two little girls together. They didn’t have to “act” like they knew what they were doing when it came to depicting parenthood — they know what’s up.

Every. Single. Time. Emily and John looked each other in the eyes; there were sparks flying. What I’m trying to say is, A Quiet Place is special.  And that is because they are special. The world just hasn’t seen a couple like them before.

Together, they created a masterpiece that centers around struggles and pain and hardship, which all families deal with to some extent. But most of all, it was a story about the love of a family. We need more of them together in the future.

A Quiet Place is now playing in theaters.
