Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters this week, but not everyone is overjoyed by that. Some people simply don’t care about Marvel, or superheroes, in general.

I know, right? Who doesn’t love superheroes? But we’re not here to judge! If Iron Man and Captain America aren’t two heroes you care to keep up with, there’s plenty for you to watch this weekend — both at the movie theater and at home. So while you’ll have to put up with the Avengers: Infinity War crowds at the movies (particularly this coming weekend) and see #AvengersInfinityWar take over Twitter, there are other conversations you can participate in!

These are 4 movies to check out on Netflix…

Where to watch: The Week of will premiere April 27 only on Netflix.

Synopsis: Middle class father (Adam Sandler), like any father, wishes to throw his daughter the wedding of her dreams. But money quickly becomes an issue, particularly when his future son-in-law’s wealthy father (Chris Rock) offers to pay for it himself. More from Entertainment

Why you should watch: What can take your mind off superheroes more than weddings? Adam Sandler and Chris Rock are sure to make us laugh this weekend. And you don’t even have to leave your house!

The Rain

Where to watch: The Rain drops on Netflix May 4.

Synopsis: A brutal virus has taken over, it comes with the rain, so escaping it is not easy, to say the least. It’s now been six years and almost all humans in Scandinavia have been wiped out. Two Danish siblings emerge from the safety of their bunker to find what is left of civilization. Together, they set out on a danger-filled quest through an abandoned town.

Why you should watch: This is the first Danish original series Netflix acquires, and definitely worth checking out!

Safe

Where to watch: On Netflix May 10.

Synopsis: After the death of his wife, Tom (Michael C. Hall) is left to bring up two young daughters. And with wealth, a gated community, close friends, and even a potential new relationship, it all seems like everything will be fine. But something always goes wrong. Tom’s worst nightmare comes true when his eldest daughter disappears, and it’s only then that he realizes nothing was what it seemed.

Why you should watch: Michael C. Hall is back! Fan of Dexter? Perfect! Never seen the series or actor? You must!

Cargo

Where to watch: Cargo arrives on Netflix May 18.

Synopsis: After a violent pandemic, a father, who is infected himself, is desperate to find a safe home to leave his infant daughter. This movie is based on the 2013 short of the same name, so if you’ve seen it, the plot of the movie is already spoiled. Or is it? We have a feeling this full-length feature on Netflix will add plenty of surprises!

Why you should watch: It’s the end of the world, as we know it! Yes, while there are many shows and movies out there that follow the end of the world or an epidemic, but this one is an interesting one! And, again, you wouldn’t have to leave the house. It’s a win-win.
