There was never any doubt Avengers: Infinity War would be breaking many records, but its success is astonishing. According to Deadline, the movie has collected approximately $650 million worldwide its first weekend — the biggest worldwide opening weekend of all time. 

Top IMAX Marvel movie debut with $41 million globally.

Biggest domestic opening of all time with $250 million, and biggest opening for a superhero film. 

Biggest Saturday opening with $83 million. Jurassic World is number two with $69.6 million and Marvel’s The Avengers in third place with $69.5 million.

Biggest Sunday opening with $61 million. The Force Awakens is number two with $60.5 million and Black Panther in third with $60 million.

Second-biggest opening day with $105.9 million, only behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($119.1 million). Keep an eye on this one, though. This number could rise as weekend tickets continue to be counted. At number three is Star Wars: The Last Jedi with $104.6 million, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is number four with $91 million.

Avengers: Infinity War is also the second-fastest to reach $100 million, only behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It is, however, the fastest to reach $150 million, $200 million, and $250 million, all domestically.

Top opening day in April domestically with $250 million. At number two is Furious 7 with $147.1 million and number three is The Jungle Book (2016) with $103.2 million.

Biggest Thursday night for any MCU movie — $39 million.

Second fastest to reach $400 million and $450 million, only behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Fastest movie in history to cross $1 billion worldwide – only 11 days!

Infinity War is Marvel’s sixth film to hit one billion, Disney’s 17th movie. 

Second-highest second weekend of all-time with $112 thousand, an amount not even debut films reach on their first weekend.

Infinity War has surpassed Jurassic World and is now the fourth highest-grossing movie in the world of all-time! The movie has reached $1.686 billion, beating Jurassic World‘s $1.71 billion. Will it take down the top three — Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06 billion), Titanic ($2.18 billion), and Avatar ($2.78 billion)? Time will tell.
