Shadowhunters season 3 episode 9: Why does Izzy have Simon’s shirt?

In the newly released Shadowhunters season 3, episode 9 photos, Jordan comes to the Institute to visit Isabelle, but why is he bringing her Simon’s shirt? And what could this mean for the future of #Sizzy?

Shadowhunters fans were blessed with dozens and dozens of photos for next week’s 2-hour mid-season finale, including new pictures of Asmodeus and Magnus, a blood-covered Jace in Lilith’s lair, and lots of Lightwood family plotting. But in the middle of all the exciting released photos was a major clue about what will happen with Simon in Shadowhunters season 3 episode 9.

Jordan will come to the New York Institute in search of Isabelle, and he’s brought his backpack with him. It seems as though Jordan is there to give Isabelle a t-shirt. It’s somewhat of an odd exchange, but if you look closely, you’ll notice that the design on the shirt is actually the same print as the shirt Simon was wearing in the previous episode.

So what does this mean for Simon?

One thing is for certain: Simon is in some kind of danger. We confirmed with Anna Hopkins, who plays the fabulously evil Lilith, that Simon is absolutely her number one threat at the moment.

Jordan is still assigned by the Praetor as Simon’s protector, and he’s breaking rules by entering the Institute to find Isabelle. If he has reason to be concerned for Simon’s safety, could he be bringing Izzy the shirt so she can track him?

If this theory holds true, we’ve learned several things from these pictures:

1. Jordan knew to specifically seek out Isabelle for help.
2. Simon is out of Jordan’s reach and in a whole lot of trouble because of the Mark of Cain.
3. Isabelle is about to go full-out on the rescue mission for Simon.
4. #Sizzy could be on the rise.
