Jeremy Carver is best known by the Supernatural fans as the showrunner between Seasons 8 and 11. He’s moving onto a new project and this time it’s a DC one with Doom Patrol.

Jeremy Carver took over the reins of Supernatural in Season 8. He decided to step down at the end of Season 11, closing us out with Mary’s return from the grave. Since then, he’s tried his hands on a time-travel, sci-fi show on The CW that only lasted a season. Now he’s moving onto the DC universe, taking on Doom Patrol.

Doom Patrol will develop from the live-action Titans. The characters will be introduced in the fifth episode, according to ComicBook.com. However, the characters were originally introduced in comic form in 1963. Now we’ll get ot see the likes of Elasti-Girl, Robotman, and even Crazy Jane tackle the evil in the world and protect the Earth from the weirdest phenomena in existence.

These aren’t just your typical superheroes, either. They also create a support group, living in a world that wants absolutely nothing to do with them. They’ll be called into action by Cyborg (yes, one of the Justice League), although it’s not clear whether Cyborg is going to be part of the new series.

Also, while there are actors set to play some of the characters in Titan, it’s not clear if they’ll come into the spin-off series or be recast.

After leaving Supernatural, Carver tried his hand at the TV series remake of the movie Frequency. It lasted 13 episodes before being canceled by The CW in 2017. However, there’s a chance that Doom Patrol will do better. While Carver has written the pilot and will executive produce, he’s also going to have Greg Berlanti as his partner. Doom Patrol will push Berlanti over the record for most number of shows on the air at the same time to 14!

A set date hasn’t been given yet. Production will start later this year, ready for a 2019 release.
