Whiskey Cavalier

When it comes to the midseason shows, there are a few that have stood out from the pilot stage and will be new shows coming to ABC to watch. Whiskey Cavalier was one of them. Starring Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan, the series is one of those procedurals that usually end up on CBS, but it will also likely have some of the comedy that ABC loves to bring. The series involves an FBI operative unwillingly teaming up with a CIA operative to get a job done.

There’s no day set for this, as it’s not coming until the fall.

The Fix

Another show to look out for in the fall is The Fix, starring Prison Break‘s Robin Tunney and LOST‘s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. It’s a legal drama with a topical twist. When a celebrity gets off with murder but comes up in another case year’s later, a lawyer has the chance to finally put him behind bars.

As it’s a midseason show, it doesn’t have a set day yet. However, this is likely to be fast-paced with action each episode as it will be a shorter season order compared to the fall shows.

Schooled

For those who love spin-offs and adore The GoldbergsSchooled is the spring comedy you’ll want to look out for. It follows the teachers at William Penn Academy in 1990-something, with Lainey Lewis (AJ Michalka) coming over from the parent show. This was ordered straight-to-series, showing ABC has high hopes.

Again, it’s a midseason show, so doesn’t have a day set yet. However, it may run after The Goldbergs in the spring as a way to boost viewers.
