Solo: A Star Wars Story is all about Han Solo…or is it? There are two characters who steal the spotlight, and it’s not who you may think!

The latest installment in the Star Wars franchise, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is out this weekend! It seems to be the one fans are least excited about, though, despite how popular and beloved the character Han Solo is. Still, all fans of the movie series will be checking the movie out this weekend to see if Solo meets their expectations. At Rotten TomatoesSolo: A Star Wars Story has a score of 70% Fresh so far. I don’t mean to compare, but Deadpool 2 sits with an 83% score. Don’t let that influence how you feel about the movie though, there’s a lot you’ll enjoy in Solo!

We attended the advanced screening of the movie in Dallas and will happily share one of the many things you’ll love about the movie. Spoilers ahead.

Final warning: Major spoilers ahead!

Actor Alden Ehrenreich does an amazing job as Han Solo. He’s entertaining, a risk-taker, and thirsty for adventure. But, in his own movie, he is overshadowed by the supporting characters. This includes Lando Calrissian (portrayed by Donald Glover) and L3-37 (played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge).

While fans are looking forward to seeing the moment Han Solo and Chewbacca meet, and the potential romance between Solo and Emilia Clarke’s Qi’ra, There’s another relationship that’s far more interesting, however, and it has a lot to do with Glover’s recent comments about Lando being pansexual.

In the words of Donald Glover, “how can you not be pansexual in space?”

In the movie, Lando has a droid, L3-37. But don’t tell L3 she’s Lando’s droid, she’ll fight you. L3 belongs to nobody! She’s a feminist droid ahead of her time and we absolutely love her. It’s obvious Lando and L3 are close, but it’s not until a scene towards the final act that we know just how close.

L3 is chatting with Qi’ra, sharing that Lando loves her, but that she has denied him many times. The audience laughs. But when L3’s life is in danger, a very cute and tearful scene proves that she was not joking. We won’t spoil anything else! But, if you’ve seen it, what did you think about the two?

Solo: A Star Wars Story is in theaters Friday, May 25.
