The popular MTV reality competition series The Challenge will soon be airing season 32 titled The Final Reckoning and we have a few pre-season favorites we hope to see succeed.

The initial cast speculation included a few favorites who were selected, such as CT and Johnny Bananas, with others like Challenge legend Landon Lueck speculated to appear (who supposedly backed out last minute). Though they finally made an attempt to cast more of the early 2000’s veterans, MTV also took it a step further to shake up the cast by bringing people from other series like Big Brother, Ex on the Beach, Bad Girls Club, and even Vanderpump Rules. By mixing so many new and returning faces in The Challenge cast, there is very likely tension, competition and romance developing from the long running series that viewers will soon see firsthand.

The trailer is set to debut this week during The Challenge: Champs vs Stars, but the teams have been revealed and we have found a few that are worth rooting for. With that being said, let’s talk about a few teams we’d like to see get their chance to shine or take home the grand prize on Final Reckoning.

Natalie and Paulie

I should start by saying, this selection is almost entirely due to Natalie. The two-time challenger has returned to prove herself alongside EOTB star and former Big Brother rival Paulie and they are easily one of the more balanced teams so far. Paulie has a history of literally being awful to everyone, but if he can channel that craziness into helping Natalie show viewers that her strong performance last season wasn’t a fluke then I’m all for it. I never thought I’d see the day where there was a team of Big Brother contestants competing on The Challenge, but these two stand the best chance of showcasing what BB has to offer competitively.

Faith and Angela

Once again, MTV surprised us with these two additions that I believe will be great rookies for The Challenge. Angela is a known hot-heead and extremely memorable personality from Bad Girls Club and Ex on the Beach who viewers have always had strong opinions about – but her polarizing personality could be great for a series like The Challenge. That and her partner Faith who is also known for pot stirring and controversy could either make them a strong team to align with or huge target to eliminate. With Faith’s military experience and Angela’s fearlessness of conflict, this would be quite a formidable team to compete against. Regardless of the direction they go in, these two are the perfect choices from Ex on the Beach to recruit for The Challenge. Can you imagine the trouble these two will get themselves in? Count me in!

Melissa and Kam

For those of you who watched Vendettas, you know the two weren’t the best of friends. Kam came off a little harsh towards Melissa who dealt with a lot of animosity for her connections with others. Kam was dubbed “rookie of the year” and Melissa showcased her intensity and strength during her elimination and in-house conflicts so if they can manage to work as a team – there may be a chance they could go far! My gut tells me things won’t be so simple for the two, but one can hope…

Zach and Amanda

Years ago, I never would have anticipated I would be rooting for either of these two Challenge returnees, but here we are. Zach started out as one of the more stereotypical jock types, but through being on television you can tell it has really revamped him over the years. Now, when Zach is cast he’s almost automatically someone I find myself rooting for (I wish he won Vendettas). Amanda has previously been accused of initiating rumors about her castmates which could be their downfall, but if she can tone down some of the conflict then the two could be a strong duo on Final Reckoning.

Kayleigh and Kailah (but not really Kailah)

So obviously this is a partner system, but in this particular team I am only rooting for one and that’s Kayleigh. The EOTB UK star had a rough start on her Challenge experience, becoming an outcast amongst the MTV cast. She was shamed for kissing another challenger (which was the epitome of ridiculous) and had her personal belongings thrown from a balcony just to make her feel less welcome. Kayleigh left early due to feeling bullied, but now she’s back and she deserves the chance to compete without the drama or personal attacks. Conversely, her partner Kailah went from being someone I enjoyed and rooted for, to being someone I can’t stand after watching the way she treats others. For that reason, the only way I’m ok with her doing well is if she is able to accompany Kayleigh to the end.
