Lucifer Season 4: How will it look on Netflix?
By Callum Gunn
Netflix has stepped in and saved the day but how will Lucifer season 4 look?
Resurrected from the dead, Lucifer season 4 is officially happening. After being canceled by FOX last month, streaming giant Netflix has decided to swoop in and save the day.
And they couldn’t have left it closer to the deadline. Come June 16, if no one had stepped in to save the series, Lucifer season 4 was effectively not happening. As contracts for the actors would have the been over, any network thinking of saving the show after this date would have had to hope none of the cast had gone elsewhere.
More from Netflix
- Bridgerton season 3: All the details to know about Penelope and Colin’s love story
- It’s a slow week on Netflix with only three new releases (Nov. 20)
- Exploding Kittens: From card game to Netflix animated series starring Tom Ellis
- The Crown and more Netflix shows and movies to stream this week (November 13)
- Escaping Twin Flames and more harrowing love-centered documentaries to watch on Netflix
As the deadline did not pass, this no longer matters and now we can all now breathe a sigh of relief that we will see our favorite devil and his friends back on our screens.
But how is Lucifer season 4 going to look? Will it be different to what it was on Fox or will everything be the same? Let’s take a look at the details of the resurrection to find out.

Lucifer season 4 on Netflix
The most obvious change is that season 4 will only have 10 episodes. As reported by TV Line, Netflix has only ordered a 10-episode season.
This is significantly shorter compared to the previous seasons apart from its debut. Season 1 of Lucifer was 13 episodes long, season 2 was 18 episodes and season 3 was 24, plus the 2 bonus episodes, which are technically part of season 4.
Apart from that, nothing has been unveiled to suggest any other significant changes. The assumption is all of the cast will be back and things will resume as normal. It is still early days and more changes could just be around the corner so keep an eye out for further updates.
