Is Arrow Season 7 the last chance for a Supernatural/Arrow crossover?

A crossover between Supernatural and Arrow is something many fans of both shows have discussed. Could Arrow Season 7 be the last chance?

Stephen Amell has made it no secret that he’d love for a Supernatural / Arrow crossover to happen at some point. Now there are some suggestions that Arrow Season 7 is the last chance. If you’re willing to believe the rumors, that is!

Supernatural and Arrow is one of those dream crossovers that many fans of both shows would love to see. After all, what could be more stranger for the Winchesters than coming across a billionaire who is a vigilante by night? They’ll also enter the world of The Flash and the Legends of Tomorrow, finding out that metahumans are, in fact, real.

However, Amell has recently spoken out about encouraging his writers to think of the upcoming seventh season as the last one. This isn’t because he’s leaving though. He doesn’t want the writers to take things for granted and wants them to use the great ideas they come up with.

The good news is this isn’t necessarily the last chance at a crossover. If they realistically want to do one, though, the writing teams for both shows will need to talk now. Writing for the two shows has already started, as both will start filming next month.

Talks and plans for the Supernatural crossover with Scooby-Doo started in March the year before the episode. While that was due to animation, there will need to be more talks for Arrow and Supernatural. After all, both shows are still on the air and they’d need to be mentioned or fit into the planned overarching storylines.

Of course, this is all likely just a dream. While the actors have shared their interests, there are a lot of other people who would need to talk for a crossover to happen. It’s not going to happen in the 2018-2019 season, but Arrow Season 7 isn’t necessarily the last chance.
