Juliette makes a bid for freedom in Nashville Season 6, Episode 11. Meanwhile, Avery and Gunnar have to set aside their differences and Alannah chooses her solo career.

Nashville Season 6B promised to be intense, bringing back some of the memories of the past but setting characters on new journeys before the end of the entire series. This week, it’s all about Juliette and the cult.

When Avery left her in Bolivia, she’d believed she had found her utopia but needed to work a little more on herself. As Avery decides to move on, Juliette learns that this utopia wasn’t everything Darius had made her believe it was. As she uncovers the truth, she finds herself at risk of never seeing her family again.

Juliette raises a complaint

More from Drama

From the outside, it looks like a missionary, but Juliette learns that there’s a major problem. When one of the volunteers collapses during a 12-hour shift and her requests for breaks being ignored, she decides to raise a complaint in Nashville episode 11, titled “No Place That Far.” While it looks like Darius is taking things seriously, he ends up sending two of his lackeys to deal with her and get a few answers.

Those lackeys decide Juliette is a danger to herself and others and decide to lock her in her room. If that wasn’t enough, she’s watched over by a woman, who clearly has a secret to keep her compliable within the cult.

Angry and upset, Juliette is left to contemplate everything, only to throw up. She’s pregnant and now she needs to get out for the sake of her family. The woman watching her gets her a pregnancy test to see if it’s true. That’s when Juliette is able to work out what’s keeping this woman so complicit. Her son has been locked away like Juliette.

Despite her son being locked away, the woman helps Juliette escape. However, the woman decides to remain with the cult for her son. Juliette promises to return with help and the last we see is Juliette hitching a ride with a local man.

Alannah signs with Shiny New

Meanwhile, Avery continues his relationship with Alannah. It’s finally with Gunnar’s blessing, who has decided it’s not worth getting any or annoyed at Avery–who claims that he was sure Gunnar had stepped aside and given him permission to be with Alannah.

However, the tension won’t stick around for too long. Alannah chooses to sign with Shiny New Records, despite the warning from Jessie that Brad is hard work. Alannah claims she knows how to deal with guys like Brad because that’s what her father was like.

Twig finally tells Maddie the truth

As for Maddie, she decides to ask Twig to listen to a song she wrote. It’s a great song, but it’s clear that Twig is upset to hear that it’s for Jonah. Nashville soon gets into why Twig is so against Maddie and Jonah working out–and it’s not just because he likes her. Jonah still hasn’t broken up with his movie star girlfriend and hasn’t told Maddie the truth about her either.

When Maddie goes to Jonah’s and he’s not there, it’s a chance for Twig to tell her the truth. Instead, he just decides to hang out with her and is upset when Maddie decides to forgive Jonah for not even texting her. Eventually, Twig tells Maddie the truth, but not the truth that we’d want him to tell her. He just tells Maddie that he likes her.

It’s a messy storyline that is sure to come out soon. Personally, I’m more interested in Juliette’s right now and this one is just a little too much teen drama for my liking.
