Timeless: Why no announcement is a good thing

NBC has announced their fall line up schedule and it has gotten a few Timeless fans a bit concerned, but there is really no need to be.
Right now, Timeless is still in limbo. With no announcement over if season 3 will go ahead or not by either NBC or Sony, fans are understandably getting impatient. So when NBC announced their fall schedule many were hopeful.
However, there was no mention of Timeless in the lineup which either did nothing to help those who are becoming increasingly impatient. Or worse, they are taking this as a sign that season 3 is a no go.

An understandable reaction but one that is really unnecessary, because in this case, no news is actually a good thing. The announcement by NBC was to do with the fall TV schedule, something that Timeless is not a part of.

So if NBC did start to mention Timeless during their press release I would have started to panic. It would have meant bad news was just around the corner.
It is understandable that fans are getting like this. It has become a bit ridiculous that NBC has still not reached a decision, especially after all the campaigning by both fans and those involved in the show. In this instance, it was a good thing that Timeless was not discussed. The only reason they would have had was to deliver the bad news that it was being canceled and try to hide it amongst the release dates.
