7 movies not to miss before they leave Netflix in July

With a new month comes a new list of movies leaving and coming to Netflix. Here are the movies you need to watch before they leave the streaming giants.

Netflix has officially announced what is coming and what is leaving in July. The majority will go at the start of the month but others will slowly leave the streaming network as the month goes on. So the countdown is now officially on.

A grand total of 44 titles, yes I counted them, are being removed throughout the month of July. That includes the TV shows as well as the movie titles. A mixture of different genres, you’ve got action, comedy, animation, alternate history, a whole variety getting ready to leave.

And when they leave it will be a sad day, especially for you. Because if you end up missing the chance to watch one of your all-time favorites one last time I guarantee that you will regret it. And there is no use hoping they will come back, titles are removed for one reason or another, but very few ever make back. So take the chance to watch them one more time while you can.

Here are 7 movies you must watch before they leave Netflix in July.

More from Movies

1: Lethal Weapon (The entire franchise)

Anyone who is a favorite of the classic Lethal Weapon franchise will be sad to hear that all of the movies will be leaving Netflix. That’s right, all of them. Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 2, Lethal Weapon 3 and Lethal Weapon 4 will be taken down on July 1.

So you have exactly 9 days left to watch Riggs and Murtagh before they will be gone for good. It will be a sad moment but as the great Murtagh says; “I’m too old for this s@#t.” Maybe that’s why Netflix has decided to take them down; they were getting too old for the network.

2: Bring It On

Not a huge fan of the teen comedy myself, but it must have been popular; they made five of them, after all. The entire Bring It On franchise will be leaving Netflix on July 1, so just like the Lethal Weapon movies, you don’t have long left to binge watch them.

It doesn’t look like Netflix are planning to replace them with anything significant either so if Bring It On is your thing, you had better watch them now. For once they are gone; there is no alternative in its place.

3: V for Vendetta

Another movie to face the ax by Netflix come July 1 is V for Vendetta. An almost modern take on Guy Fawkes with an alternate history type twist. V for Vendetta is a classic movie for anyone come the British Guy Fawkes event. There is no other movie that really exists like V for Vendetta, although some have come close, so make sure you to take the time to watch it while you can.

4: Tropic Thunder

See what Iron Man was up to before he met the Avengers. Tropic Thunder will depart Netflix at the beginning of July, so you still have a chance to see Robert Downey Jr., Tom Cruise, Jack Black, Ben Stiller and more, running about in a jungle pretending to be soldiers.

Tropic Thunder isn’t for everyone; I get that, it’s one of those movies that you either find really funny or a complete waste of time. If you’re in a funny category then make sure you get the last watch it before it departs the streaming service.

5: Alpha & Omega: Journey to Bear Kingdom

A disappointing exit for all of the parents out there, Alpha & Omega: Journey to Bear Kingdom was a solid favorite for kids. It won’t be leaving Netflix straight away but it may as well be. Pegged for an exit date of July 2nd, it doesn’t give you long for the kids to watch the movie again.

Thankfully there are plenty of other kid’s movies to watch once it/s gone, so while Alpha & Omega: Journey to the Bear Kingdom will certainly be missed, there are plenty of alternatives out there.

6: Alice Through the Looking Glass

The sequel to the 2010 Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through the Looking Glass does not depart Netflix until July 11. So there is still plenty of time to sit down and watch the tale of Alice again and see the mad hatter and the red queen one last time. It’s unlikely we will ever the movie grace the presence of Netflix again since it’s a Disney movie. So heed the warning, you have until July 11 to watch the movie.

7: Wanted

Lastly, we have Wanted. An over the top, witty, energetic assassin movie that is a true guilty pleasure for most, Wanted exits Netflix in the second half of month on July 16.

It’s a shame to see this one go but to be honest; it’s surprising that it stayed on as long as it did. So make sure you take the time to see Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in the movie where bending bullets around objects is perfectly possible.
