#15 Body of Lies

Original Release Date: October 10, 2008

Box Office Earnings: Body of Lies collected $115.9 million at the box office worldwide, $39.3 million domestically and $115.9 million overseas. It’s not often a movie does that much better at the foreign box office than domestically. The budget for this movie was reportedly $70 million.

Critical Acclaim: For having such a great box office success, Body of Lies didn’t do so hot with critics. At Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has a score of 55% Rotten. The Audience Score, however, is a decent 62%.

About the Role: Body of Lies follows CIA Jordanian. While the movie didn’t receive any award show love or many positive reviews from critics, DiCaprio’s role as Roger Ferris is one of the highlights in the movie. He portrays a CIA operative who learns information about the terrorist they have been chasing.

Simply the Best: Can Ferris trust his own friends? There’s as much action in Body of Lies as there are twist and turns. It’s a thriller that will have audiences questioning who they can really trust.
