Sadly, Westworld has ended for now. The wait for a new season can be the worst. So why not watch similar shows to fill the void?

Last Sunday, Westworld finished its second season. It will most likely be about a year or so before we get Westworld Season 3. If you are anything let me, you like to start similar shows after a currently airing show you love ends its season.

Here are five shows similar to Westworld either in style, story, or themes:

More from Entertainment

1. Humans (AMC)

Humans is probably the most obvious choice to watch next after Westworld. It follows human-like robots, some of which have true consciousness. You can stream seasons 1 &2 of Humans on Amazon Prime. Season 3 is currently airing on AMC.

2. Legion (FX)

If you are looking for another mind-twisty show, Legion is definitely for you. Legion follows a troubled adult, David Haller (Dan Stevens), who finds out what he thought was a mental illness is actually mutant powers. Like Westworld, it explores the human mind in creative ways. It also has many of the same themes as Westworld. You can stream season 1 on Hulu.

3. Black Mirror (Netflix)

If you are looking for more sci-fi with shocking twists, Black Mirror is the perfect fit. Black Mirror is a sci-fi anthology series with a different story each episode. Each story provides some kind of critique or commentary on modern society and technology. One episode even has Westworld cast member Jimmi Simpson in it. If you don’t know where to start I recommend starting with either “Fifteen Million Merits”, “White Bear”, or “San Junipero”. All seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.

4. Lost (ABC)

In a way, Westworld is like a puzzle for viewers to solve. Lost is very much in the same vein. Lost follows a group of plane crash survivors caught on a mysterious island. Lost has beautifully crafted and well-developed characters you will fall in love with. In my opinion, Lost is one of the best shows of all time and a must watch. You can watch all the seasons on Hulu.

5. Firefly (Fox)

At times Westworld feels like a sprawling adventure and Firefly creates that same feeling. Firefly is a fun mixture of the western and sci-fi genres. It follows the crew of Serenity, a transport spaceship. Throughout their travels through space, the crew takes any job, whether legal or not. Firefly is a cult classic for a reason. It has great, lovable characters, an interesting plot, and an immersive setting. Firefly is available to stream on Hulu.
