MCU took a risk with the ending but have they created a problem for the future? How can it rectify this?

MCU Avengers: Infinity War spoilers start now.

Avengers: Infinity War was a shocking ending for me when I realized that instead of letting the good guys win and ride off into the sunset, it would instead be Thanos who would ride off victorious in a bit of either accidental or purposeful irony. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about letting the bad guy win for a change. I was actually a little skeptical going into the movie thinking this would be just another rodeo where it would be a close call with the Avengers raising their hands in victory at the end.

Low and behold, they did indeed end up killing off many beloved characters. But the way they did it, by just allowing Thanos to take them out with the snap of a finger as they turned into dust, creates a problem for how they are going to bring back these characters.

And yes, many of them will be back because… well… they have movies scheduled for release. So when they do come back, how will it happen?

In talking with friends, (yes, we talk about these things… don’t judge my geeky self) it seems the most logical explanation is that Thanos will change his mind (due to Stark’s influence? Missing Gamora?) and simply snap his titan fingers using the time stone and undo Infinity War.

So… poof! There you go; all of the characters come back. But even if it’s not like that, how are they going to bring these characters back without it being ultra cheesy?

I’m not a director, so I’ll leave it to them to figure that one out. But my cornball, cheesy radar is turned on full blast.
