3. Pitch had an incredible and talented cast

While nothing was good about losing Pitch, it was especially tough considering how talented the cast was. Additionally, they had such great chemistry together, too. If anything, the casting and performances of the show should have saved it.

Either way, the cast was full of some up and comers along with some veterans to both TV and movies. Ginny Baker was played to perfection by Kylie Bunbury and she put so much heart and soul into her role. She trained and worked incredibly hard to truly become Ginny.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar played Mike Lawson, the veteran catcher who became a friend to Ginny. Rounding out the team was Blip, played by Mo McRae and former teammate and friend of Ginny’s. Blip also had a wife, Evelyn played by Meagan Holder who was one of Ginny’s few friends outside of the team.

Dan Lauria acted as the manager of the Padres while Mark Consuelos played the team’s general manager. Finishing out the cast was Tim Jo as Ginny’s social media manager and Ali Larter as her agent.

The show also had a plethora of guest stars and actors who appeared for multiple episodes. Despite its low ratings, Pitch was well-acted and felt realistic due to its talented cast and their chemistry.
