Christian Keyes has shared he’s in Toronto to film a new recurring role. Now the question is what this means for his role in Supernatural? Does this mean he’s not coming back?

Supernatural Season 14 left us with an important question: what will happen to Apocalypse Michael’s vessel? The last we saw, the vessel had nearly been destroyed. Michael and Dean made their deal and we never got to see what that meant for the vessel. With Christian Keyes now filming a recurring role for another TV series, does that mean he’s not coming back?

Not at all! As he shared the news about being in Toronto for filming (and he doesn’t say what show this is, which is interesting), he shared that it didn’t mean anything for his two current shows, In Contempt and Supernatural.

Does this actually mean he is definitely coming back for Supernatural Season 14? It’s easy to read between all the lines and jump to conclusions, right? Well, there is certainly no word on whether Keyes will return to the series, but it is certainly possible. After all, he pointed out after the finale that the vessel wasn’t dead. We never saw what happened to it and nobody mentioned it. It’s possible that he was unconscious or receiving treatment to save him after the archangel took over him.

Keyes does make a point in saying that the new show “won’t affect me doing #InContempt or #Supernatural.” This does suggest that there’s a plan to bring his character back. One thing it would allow would be to see a vessel after being taken over by such a cruel and dangerous archangel. While we’ve seen Sam since being Samifer, there wasn’t the time for Samifer to destroy a whole world. How would Apocalypse Michael’s vessel feel after everything that happened? Would he be willing to become the vessel again to save Dean?

While we’re speculating Christian Keyes’ return for Supernatural Season 14, we would like to say congratulations on landing a new role. Keep following those open doors because we really do want to see more of you on our screens! Now we can’t wait to find out what this new role is.
